1. Grey's Anatomy: I loved when Lexie threw the softball at that girl's boob. I watched it like 5 times. Christina's drunk raucous laugh makes the scene. Watching this make me desperately wish I was drunk on a softball field. And I hate softball. Go to the 10 minutes mark to watch.

2. The Office: James Spader can really deliver a monologue. I found this episode to be pretty lackluster except this part. I love the shock at the end. "And the baby sat up and turned to his mother and said 'i'm fine, bitch, i'm fine.'" I wish I could find the whole thing.

Kim Kardashian: Halloween Edition
In honor of Kim Kardashian filing divorce papers today, I will share my Halloween costume. As I mentioned last week, I dressed up as Kim this weekend for Halloween... From the front you probably would have no idea who I was trying to be but once I turned around, the Kim booty gives me away.
I actually ended up using two of my friend's strapless bras and stuffing them with underwear to get my butt big enough. It was surprisingly hard to impersonate Kim. I tried my best with the makeup, especially concentrating on the eyes. I wish I had fake eyelashes, but I didn't feel like going out and buying some. My friends were Sandy from Greece, Kate Middleton, and Lucille Ball.

We had a fun time, although I did feel kind of ridiculous with such a huge butt. I guess I now have a better understanding of how Kim feels everyday.
Happy Halloween! Don't forget to go to Chipotle for $2 burritos tonight!

Run Like Hell 5K Race Recap
How to run a Halloween 5K when you are sick and feel like death:
1. Don't help your husband make his amazing costume. Go to bed early. Sorry Bay! I helped a little bit but not enough.
2. Have a bathroom emergency 9 minutes before the race starts. We were furiously pinning on our bib numbers and putting on our race tee shirts under our clothes while waiting in the porta-potty line. We didn't get to see our friends until after the race because of it.
9. Eat all of the chili cheese fries while your husband is on his phone. Oops!
10. Go home and insist on having a photo shoot in a field because you didn't feel like running with the camera. Isn't Joe's costume amazing?!

3. Run super slow because you are both sick and your husband's costume goes all the way to his midcalves.
4. Get super excited because the crowd and the other runners keep cheering on the candy corn. Seriously, every 5 second someone was commenting on Joe's candy corn outfit and yelling to us. It was so fun!
5. Feel proud that you and your husband ran the whole thing without stopping! Despite feeling sick and wearing costumes, we were able to run the whole thing! It's one of the hardest courses that I've ever ran. It made me feel strong. Even though it was at a slower pace than usual.
6. Finally see your friends cheering you on as you cross the finish line. Meet up with them and take lots of pictures on their fancy iphones.
7. Get sad and depressed when you realized that you missed the costume contest because you were too busy yapping with your friends. I think Joe would have won!

This was the most active sick day I've ever had. The race was awesome and I can't wait to do it next year...maybe as a pig or cat! I love seeing all the different costumes and running through the Historic Oakland Cemetery. I'm considering doing a 5K on Nov 12th for blood cancers. Should I do it? We get pancakes afterwards...

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins
Since it's fall, I decided to do another pumpkin recipe. Love pumpkin! These pumpkin muffins are super easy to make...you don't even have to use a mixer! I used whole wheat flour which makes me feel like it's healthy. no guilt! I got the recipe (and picture below) from one of my favorite blogs, www.cupcakesandcashmere.com.
Pumpkin Muffins
Letters, Gourmet, November 2006
Adapted from the American club, in Kohler, Wisconsin
1½ cups all-purpose flour (I used whole wheat)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup canned solid-pack pumpkin
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pumpkin-pie spice (instead I used 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp nutmeg)
1¼ cups (plus 1 tablespoon) sugar
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional...of course I used them though. haha)
Preheat oven to 350°. Put liners in muffin cups. Whisk together pumpkin, oil, eggs, pumpkin-pie spice, 1¼ cups sugar, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl until smooth, then whisk in flour and baking powder until just combined. Stir together cinnamon and remaining 1 tablespoon sugar in another bowl. Divide batter among muffin cups (each should be about three-fourths full), then sprinkle tops with cinnamon-sugar mixture (I added some flaxseed to make it healthier). Bake until puffed and golden brown and wooden pick or skewer inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes. Cool in pan on a rack 5 minutes, then transfer muffins from pan to rack and cool to warm or room temperature. Enjoy!

Favorite Halloween Candy
In honor of Halloween week, I thought this week's We Stuff Our Faces Wednesday should focus on Halloween candy. Unfortunately, it has been awhile since I trick or treated, but that doesn't mean the candy doesn't always find its way to me. Here are my top four favorites...the ones I would always trade my siblings and friends for.
I think Reese's cups are my favorite candy in general and they always disappeared quickly from my candy bag.
Whoppers and Milk Duds were always easier to get from my siblings and friends. For some reason I love them both, even though they aren't the most popular candy.
Raisinets are always good, plus they're not too bad for you!

My Favorite Fall Trends
Here are some of the fall trends I've been liking lately. Most I have seen on pinterest, but I have seen some girls on my campus looking stylish in these looks too.
1. Socks sticking out of boots
Cute with leggings, skinny jeans, or even jeggings.

I think this would look cute with tights and a dress.
Here are some nice socks that would be long enough to stick out the top of high boots. I really want to try this look, but I'm kind of nervous I wouldn't be able to pull it off.
2. Mustard yellow. I usually am not a fan of yellow. At all. But for some reason I really like this shade of mustard. I think it especially would be cute in a cardigan or in combination with navy.

Happy Birthday Mom!
Today is our Mom's birthday! I know Alissa and I are so thankful for her in our lives. She is loving, encouraging, and will always tell you the truth. When we were little, she stayed home with us and I love all my memories from afternoons spent together. She selflessly gave up her career to raise us and worked hard to help us suceed. Then she went back to work to help us pay for our college tuitions. I respect her a lot and am thankful for such a great example she set for us. Happy birthday Mom! We love you!
Celebrity Inspired Halloween Costumes
As you saw on Friday, last year I dressed up as Snooki for Halloween. This year I'm planning on being Kim Kardashian along with two friends who are going as Kourtney and Khloe. I was looking on people.com for some costume inspiration and came across a photo gallery of celebrity costumes. Here are some of my favorites.
