I just finished reading Sisterhood Everlasting by Ann Brashares, the author of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. As a teenager, I read through the series and loved it, so I was excited to hear about the new addition. The book picks up Lena, Carmen, Tibby, and Bridget's story 10 years later when the girls are 30 years old. They plan to reunite in Greece, but their reunion brings an unexpected twist to the plot. I don't want to give away too much, but the plot was definitely not what I was expecting.
Overall, I would give Sisterhood Everlasting a B. It was a good, quick read that kept me interested and involved. I found myself tearing up a few times, but that's not really unusual when I'm reading. I thought it was interesting to see where the characters were 10 years later and the book provided some closure on where everyone ends up. If you read the earlier series, I would recommend reading it.
