I'm currently reading "Wicked Appetite" by Janet Evanovich. It's the beginning of a series featuring a cupcake chef named Lizzy and Diesel from the Plum between the numbers books. Each book will focus on 1 of the 7 deadly sins. This one is about gluttony. Janet Evanovich writes one of my favorite series ever...the Stephanie Plum books! I absolutely love these books and I've read them over and over. Although, I've lately felt that the more recent Stephanie Plum books are a little forced and nothing ever develops in the storyline. This book reminded me of those later books. It's silly and a little bit forced. It's still an interested easy read but it's in no way as good and funny as the early Stephanie Plum books. A big reason for that (at least for me) is because I don't like Lizzy or Diesel as much as I love the characters of Stephanie and Morelli. It's ashame because I'd love another amazing Evanovich series. I enjoyed her Alex Barnaby series and was sad that it stopped after 2 books. I'm still going to read all the Stephanie Plum books...and I hope that they get better than they've been...and Stephanie and Morelli better get married and have some bambinos in the final novel! Overall I rate "Wicked Appetite" a B-.

I might give this series a try once I'm done with the Stephanie Plum ones. Maybe they'll get better?
